IAPG generates plans and carries out
studies and analysis of all the activities
related to these industries regarding technical,
economic, and environmental matters as well
as rules and statistics.
IAPG is formed by over a hundred national
and foreign companies operating in the country
and linked to the oil and gas industry along
with more than 700 personal members.
The Argentine Institute of Oil was created
in June 1957 by the Argentine sector of
the South American Institute of Oil.
Later, in 1996, the name was changed for
the current Argentine Institute of Oil and
Gas (Instituto Argentino del Petróleo
y del Gas), as a result of joint efforts
and ideas coming from the parties working
in the sector.
Since its creation, the Institute has actively
taken part in mayor international forums.
